Overview One of the most significant medical advances in the past 20 years is
the discovery of agents that target the specific molecules that control cell
growth or blood supply to cancerous tumors. Using targeted therapies alone or in
combination with other pharmaceutical, radiologic, or surgical interventions has
significantly improved survival, decreased adverse events, and improved quality
of life for patients with cancer. Applications for this fellowship program are
welcome from institutions and programs that focus on educating clinicians on the
diagnosis, individualized treatment, and supportive care of patients with
neoplastic disorders (hematologic or solid tumors)
