pathophysiology of neuropsychiatric disorders in the paediatric population are
presently hampered as invasive (radioactive) techniques, such as positron
emission tomography (PET) and single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT)
and thus are not suitable at this vulnerable age. Our present collaborative
project aims to further validate the state of the art magnetic resonance imaging
(MRI) technique 'pharmacological MRI' (phMRI) for assessing serotonergic and
dopaminergic abnormalities in vivo.
