molecular virological PhD project "Viral RNA polymerases: the error paradox at
the single-molecule level." Your work will focus in particular on the
biochemistry and molecular biology of the RNA polymerases of coronaviruses, the
group that stands out for its unusually large genome. The project involves a
combination of in vitro and in vivo biochemistry and a multidisciplinary
approach that should open novel avenues for research on viral RNA polymerasess.
The results of the studies will be relevant to viral RNA polymerase research at
large and should provide insights into the unusual evolutionary properties of
coronaviruses
